I was lucky enough to be invited to another Norwegian dinner tonight. And this time again, I could fell the man was so proud of his experience of the amazing world. And that made me more sure of being a traveller in the future.
The old man is an expert on bridges. He told us he had been invited to 42 countries to give lectures, and his will is to increase this number to 50 in his life time.
I had an idea that European people has the most elegant life styles in the world. Well this man is a perfect evidence to that rule. The old kind man showed us his house. Which made me most impressive was, there are souvenirs everywhere in his house. Pictures on the wall, photos in the living room, and I could find tens of different fridge stickies on the fridge, which are from different countries he had visited.
He is also a man with tons of knowledge. "It is difficult to buy new books", he said, "because I have to buy a new house for them". Knowledge makes people think. That's most correct. We talked for like 2 hours after the dinner, and I learnt a lot from him. He's so font of history and culture and economy that, he always tried to connect these three things together to think and to judge things.
Norway has the highest tax all over the world. But this man seems happy to that. He think this is a good way of sharing with each other. And that makes him to feel himself more valuable.
A German philosopher said, "People who know the other countries, know his own countries more." I can easily understand it now. And I think, it also makes a person to know more about himself.
Life's a gift, so seize the day and experience it.
